On Monday evening, April 3, just hours after the Florida Senate passed SB 300, the Near Total Abortion Ban Bill, a group of reproductive freedom supporters gathered to sit and hold hands in a circle outside Tallahassee City Hall for a peaceful demonstration in support of abortion rights.

Today, Governor Ron DeSantis delivered his State of the State address to kick off Florida’s 2023 legislative session.

Throughout his time as a politician, Governor Ron DeSantis has shown a strong desire to raise taxes on working families and seniors, while providing massive tax breaks and handouts to the wealthy and corporate elite.

Gov. Ron DeSantis is out to destroy free speech in Florida. Duval County substitute teacher Brian Covey was recently fired simply for sharing a video of empty bookshelves in his classroom to draw attention to the relentless censorship of books under the DeSantis administration.

Just weeks ago, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) lifted outdated restrictions on medication abortion, allowing pharmacies to dispense these necessary medications, and the Justice Department ruled that the postal service is allowed to deliver them nationwide. This is excellent news!
