“Rick Scott’s crusade to make it harder to vote rolls on. The Scott administration’s latest announcement that Florida will place new restrictions on absentee voting is part of a trend to make voting harder for Floridians.

“What’s worse, the timing of this new voting restriction is suspect at best given that a special election in congressional district 13 is fast approaching — the district in Florida that uses more absentee ballots than any other in the state.

“If Gov. Scott really cared about fair, truly democratic elections, he would be working to make voting easier for everyday Floridians, not harder.”
