Screwed By Trump? Progress Florida Promotes Website to Help People Tell Their Story

Progress Florida today teamed with American Bridge to launch a website where victims can share how Donald Trump took advantage of them. By sharing their story, those who have been abused by Trump can help to correct these business practices as well as educating voters about the real Donald Trump.

ST. PETERSBURG  From contractors and small business owners who haven’t been paid to investors in developments who were hung out to dry, former employees and entire towns, wherever Donald Trump goes a trail of lawsuits and unpaid workers often follows.

To bring these stories out of the shadows and help victims share their side of the story, Progress Florida today teamed with American Bridge to launch a website where victims can share how Donald Trump took advantage of them. By sharing their story, those who have been abused by Trump can help to correct these business practices as well as educating voters about the real Donald Trump.

“Donald Trump’s wealth and success have been at the expense of his employees and working families. His business practices are designed to benefit Donald Trump and to keep those who are hurt silent and afraid to share what really happened,” said Mark Ferrulo, Executive Director of Progress Florida. “Floridians deserve to know how Donald Trump has hurt our neighbors and our state in his quest for personal gain and this site will help victims to stand up and fight back.”

DonaldTrumpScrewedMe.com is being promoted across the state through online digital advertisements with an emphasis in the Tampa Bay, Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm areas of the state where Trump owns property or has been connected to failed projects. Progress Florida and American Bridge say these areas of the state are likely to have more victims of Trump’s unethical business practices but because of scandals such as Trump University, victims may be found in almost every corner of the state.

“We think a billionaire making a quick buck by taking advantage of hardworking Floridians should be held accountable and the DonaldTrumpScrewedMe.com website provides Floridians a way to make that happen,” said Ferrulo.

DONALD TRUMP: SERIAL DEFAULTER

USA TODAY exclusive, June 9, 2016: Hundreds allege Donald Trump doesn’t pay his bills “A USA TODAY NETWORK analysis found he has been involved in more than 3,500 lawsuits over the past three decades — and a large number of those involve ordinary Americans…who say Trump or his companies have refused to pay them…Trump’s companies have also been cited for 24 violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act since 2005 for failing to pay overtime or minimum wage…The actions in total paint a portrait of Trump’s sprawling organization frequently failing to pay small businesses and individuals, then sometimes tying them up in court and other negotiations for years. In some cases, the Trump teams financially overpower and outlast much smaller opponents, draining their resources. Some just give up the fight, or settle for less; some have ended up in bankruptcy or out of business altogether.”
