TALLAHASSEE – Today, State Rep. Mark Pafford (D-West Palm Beach) was elected by his peers to serve as the new Minority Leader in the Florida House of Representatives. Rep. Pafford has been named a Middle Class Champion for all three years the award has been given to legislators who vote 100% of the time in the best interests of Florida’s working families.
“Mark Pafford has been a tireless, outspoken and fearless champion for middle class Floridians in a legislature where the needs of everyday Floridians too often get a cold shoulder,” said Progress Florida executive director Mark Ferrulo. “Mr. Pafford will be a critical and much needed leader in the fight for great public schools, access to quality health care, good jobs and clean air and water for all Florida families.”
