Florida’s flagship wildlife and land conservation program, Florida Forever, is in serious trouble. Florida’s wildlife corridor project, endangered species including the Florida panther, and access to open space for outdoor recreation are in jeopardy.
If HB 1505 passes, it will create immense confusion and unnecessary interference with the doctor patient relationship. A minor will be unable to be prescribed birth control, receive treatment for an STI, or access outpatient mental health crisis services if a parent does not consent. This is extremely dangerous: untreated STIs can lead to cancer, reduced motor functions, infertility, and even death.
Right now, the “State Park Protection Act” (SB 80/HB 209), which aims to prevent DeSantis, or any future governor, from recklessly paving over our beloved state parks is moving through the Legislature. We need your help to not only ensure this legislation passes, but to make it stronger.
