Join us and our many allies tomorrow (Tuesday, May 14) at Williams Park in downtown St. Pete as we rally to persuade Gov. DeSantis to VETO the Billionaire Boulevard Bill (SB 7068). This asphalt industry backed legislation opens the door to allowing three new tollroads through Florida’s largest remaining swaths of rural, wild, agricultural and undeveloped lands. Together, we’ll tell the governor to STOP this disastrous plan for hundreds of miles of new toll roads that will destroy critical wildlife corridors, degrade waterways, and replace our countryside with out of control urban sprawl. Not to mention waste billions in taxpayers dollars needed for critical state infrastructure needs.
Rally In St. Pete To Urge Gov. DeSantis To Veto The Billionaire Boulevard
Tuesday, May 14th: 5:00-6:30pm
Williams Park
350 2nd Ave N
RSVP On Facebook (optional)
Bring your handmade signs (we have extra signs if you need them) but most importantly, bring yourself and help defeat what St. Pete City Councilwoman Darden Rice accurately described as “can openers to the countryside.”
The rally starts at 5pm, speakers will begin at 5:30, and the event will wrap up at 6:30. We’ll be gathering at the northeast corner of Williams Park, across the street from Duke Energy’s Office Tower.
