As we prepare to gather with family and friends to give thanks and kick off the holiday season, we wanted to start by thanking our amazing Progress Florida network members and supporters like you.
For more than 15 years, we’ve been fighting for a more progressive Sunshine State, work made possible by the civic engagement and financial support from this network of everyday Floridians who believe like we do that when we all do better, we all do better.
This year, thanks to your support and activism, and in collaboration with our progressive allies across the state, we:
Fought to defend abortion access and reproductive freedom from political interference. We are as steering committee members of the Floridians for Reproductive Freedom coalition, and leaders among the Floridians Protecting Freedom abortion access ballot initiative campaign.
Published and widely distributed the People First Report Card, giving every Floridian access to their state legislators’ voting record on major issues affecting them, their family, and their community. Together, we’ll continue to hold our elected officials accountable for their voting records in the fast-approaching 2024 legislative session.
Continued building the Florida Communications and Research Hub with our partner Florida Watch. The Hub is now the Florida progressive community’s go-to source for opinion research, message development, and digital and non-digital communications strategy and tactics support for advocacy and grassroots organizations across the state.
As you know, everything we do in the next year will have big consequences not only for Florida but for our country. The 2024 election, including our U.S. Senate race, U.S. House races, state legislative elections, and proposed constitutional amendments, will impact our state and country for decades to come.
We’re ready to finish the year strong and are already looking ahead to many critical battles and exciting opportunities in 2024.
