Dear Gov. Crist:

As concerned Floridians, we can see that deep-pocketed developers will stop at nothing to cement urban sprawl right to the edge of the Everglades. We urge you, and your Department of Community Affairs, to stand up for sound planning and oppose applications for two developments that violate Miami-Dade County’s Urban Development Boundary. If allowed by the state to go forward, these two developments will send a signal of weakness and jeopardize billions of dollars in federal funds for Everglades restoration. This is your moment to be strong.
